![]() My own party that I went against the Viscount with was a (from rank 4 to rank 1) Vestal + Jester + Man-at-Arms + Flagellant (although I considered the Hellion). If you get the chance, check out the Strategy Guide for the Crocodilian on the 'Darkest Dungeon' wiki, it's really well done by whoever put it up. And that's not a strategy - that's just throwing four more tokens down and spinning the sadistic RNG's roulette-wheel. At the moment, I'm not seeing any winning strategy short of piling on the damage-dealers and desperately hoping that you can crit him to death before he kills you. Once someone hits Death's Door, they're liable to die very, very quickly. There's just no way to keep up with the Viscounts damage-output in terms of healing, especially since many of his attacks hit 2-3 targets. Maybe I'd be better off with a Vestal, instead of an Occultist, but not by very much. My ill-fated crew was Occultist, Jester, Graverobber and Hellion, FYI. So it'd just get me wiped out even faster, from what I can tell. You'd just wind up dealing with two rounds worth of him attacking with a hefty +50% Attack-buff attached to his STILL-insane 4 attacks per round. I looked over his move-list and THOUGHT I saw a clever trick - taking out the small and medium bloodbag, and leaving the big one so he'd keep wasting 3 turns drinking from it and getting debuffed, while dealing enough damage to outpace his 50-per-round self-heal - but on closer examination, that doesn't seem helpful since that move has a 3-round cooldown. The wiki has nada for strategy-suggestions or useful advice. It doesn't matter that he's got fairly low HP when he can wipe you out that fast. how, exactly, are you supposed to BEAT that monster? 4 attacks per round is RIDICULOUS. that might sound like a small matter, by comparison, but it rendered my Hellion completely impotent. ![]() 4 attacks per round, with high crit and loads of stress-inflicting, not to mention a full-party knockback. ![]() I didn't stand a chance, didn't even have time to retreat. ![]() 4 Level-6 DD-veterans now crowd my Graveyard. After steamrolling through all the Bloodsuckers leading up to that point, and arriving with full health, no Stress, and several useful Camping-buffs, I was feeling pretty confident. I just faced The Viscount for the first time. ![]()
